Journal of Technology and Applied Knowledge in Informatics (TAKI) is strictly committed to upholding the integrity of scientific records and maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. As an international peer-reviewed journal published by Yayasan Pijar Bintang Takwa, we have a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism.

1. Originality Requirement Authors must ensure that the manuscript submitted to TAKI is completely original, has not been published previously, and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any use of the work and/or words of others must be appropriately cited or quoted.

2. Plagiarism Screening To ensure publication quality, all submitted manuscripts will undergo a plagiarism screening process prior to the double-blind peer-review process. The editorial board utilizes standard plagiarism detection software to check for similarity with existing literature.

3. Types of Plagiarism The journal defines plagiarism as follows:

  • Verbatim Copying: Copying text word-for-word from another source without quotation marks and proper citation.

  • Paraphrasing: Restating someone else's ideas without giving credit to the original author.

  • Self-Plagiarism: Reusing significant parts of one's own previously published work without proper citation or acknowledgement.

4. Sanctions If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process (before or after acceptance), the manuscript will be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article will be retracted, and a retraction notice will be issued.
